EV charger installation in Toronto & the GTA
Level 2 home charging planned around your electrical panel: a load calculation first, a dedicated hardwired circuit, and the ESA permit and inspection handled by a licensed contractor (#7013769).
From load calculation to ESA inspection.
Load calculation
Before anything is installed, we check whether your panel and service can carry an EV charger along with everything else in the home.
Panel check or upgrade
If the existing service is too small, we can upgrade it — for example from 100A to 200A. See panel & service upgrades.
Load management
Sometimes a load-management device lets the charger share capacity safely and avoids a full panel upgrade.
Dedicated circuit
A dedicated 40A or 50A circuit, hardwired from your panel to the charger.
Charger supply & installation
We can supply the Level 2 charger and install it, so one team looks after the whole job.
ESA permit & inspection
We file the ESA notification and book the inspection.
Level 2 charging at home.
We install EV chargers in houses, in the garage or by the driveway.
Detached homes
Garage or driveway charging, with the panel and service checked first.
Semi-detached homes
A dedicated circuit planned around your panel location and parking spot.
Townhouses
Charging where you park, with the load calculation done before installation.
Four steps to charging at home.
1. Send photos & a short video
Use the estimate form to send photos and a short video of your panel and where you park.
2. Initial assessment
From your photos and video we give an initial assessment of what is needed. A site visit is not always required. This is an assessment, not a final price.
3. Quote
We confirm the scope and give you a quote before any work starts.
4. Installation & inspection
We install the circuit and charger and book the ESA inspection.
EV charger FAQ
Do I need a permit to install an EV charger in Ontario?
Yes. A new circuit for an EV charger needs an ESA notification and inspection. As a licensed electrical contractor (#7013769) we file the notification and book the inspection.
Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?
Often, but not always. We run a load calculation first — sometimes a load-management device avoids a full upgrade.
Which chargers do you install?
We install Level 2 chargers for homes, on a dedicated 40A or 50A hardwired circuit. We can supply the charger and install it.
Do you need to visit my home first?
Not always. Photos and a short video of your panel and parking spot are often enough for an initial assessment. It is an assessment, not a final price.
How much does EV charger installation cost?
It depends on your panel, the distance from the panel to where you park and whether an upgrade or load-management device is needed. We give you a quote after reviewing your details.
Which areas do you serve?
Toronto, North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Thornhill, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Newmarket and Mississauga.
