Questions

Panel upgrade FAQ

How much does a panel upgrade cost?

It depends on your existing service, panel location and utility requirements. We give a fixed, itemized quote after a site visit.

How long will my power be off?

Usually part of one day while the utility disconnects and reconnects the service. We schedule it with you in advance. Timing depends on the project.

Do I need a permit?

Yes. Service upgrades in Ontario require an ESA notification and inspection. As a licensed contractor (#7013769) we handle both.

Should I upgrade before installing an EV charger?

Often, but not always. We run a load calculation first — sometimes a load-management device avoids a full upgrade.
